Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Photo Scanning Studio is a small, local business run by Dan Herlehy in Hamburg, NY. Your family photos and your personal information are handled with the same care. This page explains, in plain English, what our website collects and why.
Information you choose to send us
- Contact form: your name, email, optional phone number, and message. It is delivered to Dan by our form provider, Formspree, so he can answer your question.
- Email list: your email address, used to send the free photo-care guide and occasional photo tips and specials. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- Texts and calls: if you tap "Text Dan" or "Call," your phone opens its own messaging or calling app. Those messages go straight to Dan.
We use this information only to reply to you and to provide our services. We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Website analytics
To understand which pages are helpful and where the site is confusing, we use two analytics tools:
- Google Analytics counts visits, pages viewed, and general location and device type. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
- PostHog records how visitors move through the site: pages viewed, clicks, scrolling, and anonymous session recordings. Anything you type into a form or the Q&A helper is hidden and never included in these recordings. Learn more in PostHog's privacy policy.
These tools use cookies or similar browser storage to recognize a returning browser. They do not tell us who you are unless you contact us.
Your choices
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings.
- Google offers an opt-out browser add-on for Google Analytics.
- If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, PostHog analytics is turned off for your visit.
- To ask what information we have about you, or to have it deleted, text or call Dan at 716-713-6537 or email [email protected].
Children
Our website is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
