Agree on the details before you ship
Dan will confirm your collection, packing approach, estimated turnaround, and shipping and return costs before you send your originals. Local scanning typically takes 5–10 days; shipping adds time.
Keep existing groups together and include your contact details inside the box. For fragile, stuck, or moldy items, send a picture and ask about acceptance before packing them.
Mail-in process
- Text or email first with a rough count and photos of your boxes or albums.
- Use a sturdy box, not an envelope, and protect stacks with cardboard.
- Include your name, phone, email, and project notes inside the box.
- Ship with tracking, and consider carrier insurance for irreplaceable photos.
- Dan confirms arrival, scans the project, delivers files, and returns originals with tracking.
What can be mailed?
Loose photo prints, Polaroids, 35mm slides, 35mm negatives, postcards, and many album projects can be mailed. Very fragile or moldy items should be discussed before shipping.
